The Dallas weekend school added a parents' hour so adults are not waiting in the parking lot during class. The hour is a conversation, not a second class.
Topics this month are how to help with homework without doing it, and which forms the weekday school still needs. A teacher stays in the room to answer the school questions.
Children remain in their own classrooms. The parents' hour is in the library. Coffee is at the back. The school asked people to keep the hallway quiet during the younger children's reading.
The hour starts at 10:30, halfway through the morning. Parents who arrive later can still sit in, and the notes will be on the board the following week.
