Grocers in Dubai stocked festival sweets and pantry staples before the weekend rush. Several shops posted which items are already limited.
The limited list this week is a specific brand of condensed milk and a box of dates that families use for gifts. Shops said a second delivery is due Saturday morning.
Members who cannot shop in person can leave an order at the community desk by Friday noon. The desk is a list, not a delivery service. Someone from the household still picks the bag up.
Prices on the handwritten board are the prices at the register. If the board and the receipt do not match, the shop asked customers to point it out before they leave the counter.
