Chittagong port posted a clearance list for household shipments that have been waiting since last week. Families who sent documents on Monday can collect a gate pass from the community desk.
The backlog built up after two holidays fell in the same week. Agents said cartons of clothing, school books, and small appliances are the largest share of the family list.
The port is asking people to bring the original receipt and a photo ID. Collection hours are 9 am to 3 pm, and the desk will not hold a carton past Friday.
A volunteer table outside the gate is helping people who cannot read the English form. They are not charging a fee. Anyone asked for cash at the sidewalk should walk back to the marked table.
