The Pine Hills food drive needs volunteers on Saturday to sort rice, oil, and canned vegetables. The hall opens at 8 am and the pickup line starts at 10.
Volunteers do not need experience. The lead will assign a table: sorting, carrying, or walking people through the line. Closed-toe shoes are required in the sorting room.
Donations can still be dropped on Friday evening. The hall is especially short on cooking oil and baby formula. Open packages cannot be given out.
Families who need a box should bring an ID and a reusable bag. One box per household. The line is expected to last until 1 pm.
