Shops test a shared evening delivery hour

A group of neighborhood shops is testing one shared delivery hour in the evening so customers are not waiting on five different drivers.

The hour is 6 to 7 pm. Orders placed before 4 pm are in that run. Later orders wait until the next day. The shops are a grocery, a pharmacy counter, and a restaurant that packs family meals.

Customers pick one drop-off, not three. The driver calls when the car is outside. There is no app. The order is a paper list at the shop or a message to the shop phone.

The test lasts two weeks. Shops will post whether the hour stays. They are watching how many orders fit in one car and whether the food is still hot at the last stop.
